Locally known as the Bunny Run, this small strip of woodland has a secret past.

These trees were originally part of the gardens of Castle House. Between 1963 and 1974 this building on West Street was used as the offices of Buckingham Borough Council. The Council opened up the gardens and they became a popular lunch spot for local workers. Eventually the house passed back into the hands of private owners but the woodland to the rear has remained open to the public and still serves as a shady picnic spot.
